This Image Gallery contains a pictorial view of activities
in the construction of water projects in Honduras. You can
see the different stages of water supplies which start out
with a simple hole in the ground. One can imagine the unsanitary
condition of the water coming out of these holes, animal
and insect contamination being a common problem.
The images show the construction progress involving the
local village community digging the trenches for PVC pipe
runs. Ultimately, we see a completed project providing good,
clean, drinkable water.
Some smaller communities will have a manual system. Larger
communities will have a more automated electric or gasoline
motor driven system with water tank storage.
